	Benton C. Strauss Ben concentrates his practice in: (a) estate and trust planning, including asset protection, tax reduction, estate administration and estate and trust controversies; (b) business transactions, including partnership, LLC and corporate matters, business transfers and wealth succession; and (c) key employee benefits and executive compensation (including qualified and non-qualified benefits). A substantial portion of his clients are active or retired entrepreneurs and their businesses.
	Ben has written and spoken widely. He initially authored, and regularly updates, the book entitled "Estate and Gift Planning for the Business Owner," published by RIA and co-authors Post Mortem Tax Planning, published by Warren Gorham & Lamont. Among the organizations to which Ben has lectured are the Minnesota and Illinois CPA societies, the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education. He is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. Ben was chair of the Chicago Bar Association Trust Law Committee (1991-1992), is past president of the 6,000 member Non-Resident Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Wisconsin (2002-2003), and served on the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Wisconsin (2001-2004). He is a graduate of the University of Illinois (1968) and Loyola University Law School (1972). He is admitted to practice in Illinois and Wisconsin.
